A Four-Week Evening Photography School.

There will be four days of classroom training on Thursdays weekly.

This School is designed to get you up and running over 4 days of intensive classroom training. This school includes 12 hours of classroom instruction specifically intended to ensure your complete understanding of the basics of Digital Photography.

We will meet each Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and work in the classroom until 9:00 p.m. each of the four days.

This School is geared towards providing you with the basics of photography from the ground up as they relate to Digital and Film cameras. Because we're starting from the ground up doesn't mean this school is limited to beginners in any way. The amount of knowledge available through this School goes well beyond basic photography and into intermediate and advanced topics. We'll do our classroom lessons in 3-hour sessions on Thursday evenings.

Please come prepared to take lots of notes.

You have the option to purchase a printed book or you may purchase a downloadable version (don't wait till the last minute, this is NOT a small download).  In either event, you are expected to have the material from the book in front of you for each classroom session.  It is also desirable for you to read the first chapter prior to the first session.

• Auto-Focus Switch and focusing.

• Lens / Lenses.
• Shutter functions.
• Handling the Camera.
• Using a Tripod.

Day 4 - Flash, Light and Metering

• Measuring Light and Light Meters.
• Handling low light problems with flash.
• Reflecting your flash or the available light.
• Bouncing and diffusing flash.
• Adding color to your subject.
• Using filters to enhance your image.
